Dubai Customs announced that its economic packages and proactive customs initiatives have significantly strengthened Dubai’s economic resilience, supported business continuity, and reinforced the emirate’s position as a global hub for trade and logistics in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

According to the authority, the measures injected more than AED 79 million in liquidity into the private sector while helping sustain trade flows worth AED 33.9 billion, supporting thousands of companies and improving supply chain resilience.

Abdullah Bin Damithan, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, said Dubai continues to enhance its business environment through flexible economic policies that keep pace with global developments, stressing that rapid response measures have strengthened investor confidence and ensured uninterrupted economic activity.

Meanwhile, Dr. Abdullah Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, said the customs facilities were introduced in line with the UAE leadership’s vision to enhance trade continuity and improve the flexibility of the business environment. He revealed that Dubai Customs attracted more than 4,000 new customers between March 1 and June 30, 2026.

The package included extending customs duty deadlines, allowing installment payments, reducing customs fines by 80%, extending transit periods from 30 to 90 days, facilitating cargo movement through key ports and border crossings, and prioritizing food and pharmaceutical shipments.

A total of 6,613 companies benefited from a 120-day extension for suspended customs procedures, giving businesses greater flexibility in managing obligations while improving liquidity and operational continuity.

Dubai Customs also highlighted the success of its Green Corridor initiative, which handled more than 203,000 containers and transported over 3.16 million tonnes of goods worth AED 33.9 billion from 188 countries between March 1 and June 30, 2026.

The authority added that its digital “Shahin” platform further improved customs efficiency, maintaining an immediate clearance rate of 93% and accelerating cargo movement.

In addition, Dubai Customs said it reviewed more than 83 challenges and development proposals submitted by the business community and converted many of them into practical initiatives aimed at improving customs services and strengthening trade efficiency.
