A widely circulated video on social media platforms has sparked confusion and concern after claims emerged that it shows an explosion targeting the bridge connecting Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The clip gained significant traction, especially on X, where it amassed hundreds of thousands of views accompanied by misleading captions suggesting an urgent attack on the King Fahd Causeway.

However, digital verification efforts quickly dismantled these claims, confirming that the footage is unrelated to any current events in the Gulf region. Credible media investigations revealed that the video is old and was taken out of context, deliberately reshared to create panic and misinformation among viewers.

Through reverse image search and frame-by-frame analysis, it was established that the video dates back to October 2022. It actually documents a major explosion that occurred on the Kerch Bridge, a critical structure linking the Crimean Peninsula to mainland Russia. The incident was widely reported at the time due to its strategic and geopolitical significance.

During that event, the explosion caused severe structural damage, including the collapse of sections of the roadway. Additionally, a fire broke out on a nearby railway segment involving fuel tanker wagons. Early reports also indicated casualties, highlighting the scale and severity of the incident within the broader Russia-Ukraine conflict context.

The resurfacing of this video coincides with heightened regional tensions involving the United States and Iran, including ongoing military escalations. Nevertheless, linking this footage to current developments in the Gulf is entirely inaccurate. Official sources confirm that the King Fahd Causeway, inaugurated in 1986 and spanning approximately 25 kilometers, remains fully operational and has not been targeted or damaged.
