One Palestinian was killed and several others were injured after an Israeli drone strike hit the Tuffah neighbourhood in north-eastern Gaza City on Saturday morning, Palestinian medical sources said.

The sources said the victim's identity had not yet been established. They described the incident as an Israeli drone strike on Tuffah, an area of Gaza City.

Elsewhere in the Gaza Strip, heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles was reported south of Khan Younis. Israeli artillery fire was also reported in eastern parts of Gaza City.

The incidents occurred despite a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel that took effect in October last year. Israeli forces have continued to conduct air strikes, artillery shelling and gunfire in different areas of the Gaza Strip despite the agreement.
