The Emirates Charity Association has launched its “Summer of Goodness” campaign, featuring six humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting low-income families, workers, orphans, and other vulnerable groups both inside and outside the UAE, as part of its efforts to strengthen social solidarity and promote sustainable charitable work.
Abdullah Saeed Al Tunaiji, Secretary-General of the Emirates Charity Association, said the campaign was designed following an assessment of the key challenges facing beneficiaries, with the goal of delivering practical support that improves living conditions and eases financial burdens. He also called on individuals and public and private sector institutions to contribute to expanding the campaign’s humanitarian impact.
The campaign includes the “Cool Their Lives” initiative to provide cooling devices for needy families, the “Light Their Lives” initiative to help pay electricity bills, and the “From Water We Made Every Living Thing” initiative to distribute cold drinking water to workers at their job sites during the summer.
Additional initiatives include “Safe Home,” which helps eligible families cover rental payments, and “Happy Orphan,” which supports educational and social activities for orphans.
Internationally, the association is implementing the “Summer Basket” initiative to provide food baskets for families in need outside the UAE, helping strengthen food security and meet essential living needs.
