Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the launch of four new public bus routes, along with operational adjustments to several existing routes, effective July 17, as part of its ongoing plans to develop the public transport network and enhance mobility efficiency across the emirate.

The RTA confirmed that this step comes as part of its periodic review of the bus network based on passenger movement studies and transport demand, aiming to improve connectivity between residential, commercial, and service areas, as well as strengthen integration with the metro and feeder bus networks.

The new routes include Route 35 connecting International City and Dubai Silicon Oasis, Route 85 linking Al Quoz (Al Khail Gate) with Dubai Internet City Metro Station, in addition to Routes 37A and 37B, which connect International City with the Dubai Silicon Oasis Lake in both directions, with service frequency ranging between 20 and 30 minutes during peak hours.

The updates also include route adjustments for several existing lines, including 27, 36A, 36B, 67, 84, 88, 96, and X94, aimed at improving integration with the Dubai Metro network, facilitating access to key areas, and reducing travel time. The changes also cover extensions or modifications to several metro feeder bus routes such as F06, F29, F36, F47, and F49, ensuring better coverage of new residential areas and providing more flexible mobility options for passengers.

As part of improving operational efficiency during peak hours, the RTA has also adjusted the routes of C01 and X22 to reduce travel time and enhance traffic flow, while providing alternative routes to serve passengers in affected areas.

The RTA emphasized that these updates are part of its continuous efforts to deliver a more efficient and sustainable public transport system that meets the needs of Dubai’s residents and visitors, while enhancing the overall commuting experience across all modes of public transport.
