The National Housing Development Corporation “Sakan” in Saudi Arabia revealed major achievements during 2025, enabling 8,102 eligible families to own housing units and strengthening residential stability across regions of the Kingdom.

According to Sakan’s annual report, the organization’s cumulative impact since its establishment has reached around 50,200 families, benefiting more than 250,000 people. Total support provided by Saudi Arabia’s leadership to the organization has also exceeded SAR 2.1 billion.

The support included a SAR 1 billion personal donation from Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to support homeownership for eligible families. The initiative also included directives to complete housing projects and deliver units within 12 months through national companies.

The homes delivered in 2025 were provided through several housing solutions. These included 5,545 units under the “Waad” rent-to-own program, 1,582 through direct ownership, 810 through “Thura Sakan Plus,” and another 165 units through the “Benaa” product.

The “Jood Regions 2” campaign also recorded a strong national response, collecting SAR 1.8 billion in donations, equivalent to 187% of its target. The campaign supported 11,500 housing units, achieving 174% of its planned target.

Community participation also expanded through the “Jood Housing” platform, one of Sakan’s initiatives. The platform attracted more than 11 million visitors and over 810,000 donors, highlighting growing public confidence in its role in transforming charitable giving into long-term housing stability.

Sakan also activated more than 45 strategic partnerships and attracted 121 donors, while donor satisfaction reached 86%. The organization additionally supported 16 partner associations across 10 regions through 77 training courses totaling 238 hours and 169 specialized consultations.

Training programs for partner associations achieved a 95% satisfaction rate. Social return figures showed that every SAR invested in the rent-to-own product generated SAR 4.09 in social value, compared with SAR 3.01 for direct ownership and SAR 2.82 for rental support.
