Work is steadily progressing on the King Faisal Corniche waterfront development project in Bahrain’s capital, Manama, marking a significant step toward transforming the city’s coastal landscape. The project reflects a broader vision aimed at enhancing urban life and creating a modern environment that meets the expectations of residents and visitors.

The first phase of the development covers approximately 46,000 square meters and stretches about 1,400 meters along the coastline, with a total cost estimated at around BHD 4.959 million. This investment highlights the commitment to revitalizing the waterfront and turning it into a vibrant, multi-functional destination in a prime location.

The project focuses on delivering modern public spaces designed to serve people of all age groups while supporting urban development and maximizing the use of coastal areas. It also contributes to improving municipal services and expanding open spaces, aligning with contemporary urban planning principles and sustainability goals.

The initial phase includes dedicated tracks for walking, jogging, and cycling, as well as children’s play areas and multi-purpose sports courts. In addition, the project features service and administrative buildings, large green spaces, advanced lighting systems, and an efficient irrigation network that supports environmental sustainability.

The development also provides 143 parking spaces, along with essential infrastructure such as pump rooms and water storage facilities to ensure a seamless experience for visitors. Investment spaces for waterfront restaurants and cafés have been allocated, further enhancing the project’s appeal and positioning the corniche as a premier leisure and tourism destination in Manama.
