Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior announced on Monday the activation of air raid sirens across several areas as a precautionary measure, amid escalating regional tensions between the United States and Iran that have raised security concerns across the Gulf region.

In a brief official statement, the ministry urged citizens and residents to remain calm and immediately proceed to the nearest safe location, emphasizing the importance of relying solely on official communication channels for updates to avoid misinformation or panic.

The ministry clarified that the activation of sirens is part of established emergency protocols designed to alert the public to potential threats, ensuring rapid response and maximizing public safety during critical situations.

Meanwhile, the Bahrain Defence Force confirmed on Sunday that it had successfully intercepted and destroyed multiple aerial attacks described as Iranian, highlighting the effectiveness of its advanced air defense systems deployed across the kingdom.

The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force stated that all military units are operating at the highest level of readiness, noting that the air defense systems efficiently detected, intercepted, and neutralized hostile aerial threats, demonstrating the country’s capability to safeguard its airspace under heightened tensions.
