Dubai Police’s Anti-Fraud Center has issued a warning about the growing spread of fraudulent advertisements and messages promoting work, residency, or visit visas in exchange for money through social media platforms and messaging applications.

The center explained that these scams often use the names of unlicensed companies or impersonate official entities to deceive victims and convince them to pay fees for services that do not actually exist.

As part of its ongoing awareness campaign “Be Aware of Fraud,” the center stressed the importance of completing all visa-related transactions only through authorized government channels or legally approved offices, while avoiding any dealings with unverified intermediaries regardless of how attractive the offers may seem.

Officials highlighted that verifying the source of any service and relying solely on official platforms represent the first line of defense against fraud, urging the public not to fall for misleading promises related to illegal visa processing or job offers.

The Anti-Fraud Center encouraged the public to report any fraud incidents or attempts immediately through the Dubai Police smart application, the eCrime reporting platform, or by calling 901, emphasizing that prompt reporting plays a key role in protecting the community.
