The General Traffic Department announced a partial road closure on King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Road, including the closure of the two right lanes, along with shutting the service road entrance leading to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Road (Fifth Ring Road) opposite the Bayan area.
The closure will take effect starting Saturday and will continue for one week, as part of ongoing roadworks aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing traffic flow efficiency across one of the country’s key road networks.
Authorities stated that the move is necessary to facilitate maintenance or development works, ensuring long-term improvements in road quality and overall traffic safety for motorists.
Drivers have been urged to exercise caution, adhere to posted traffic signs, and follow designated detours to avoid congestion and maintain smooth traffic movement during the temporary closure.
Traffic congestion is expected during peak hours, particularly due to the closure of the access point to the Fifth Ring Road, making it essential for commuters to plan alternative routes in advance until normal conditions are restored.
