The Saudi Arabia General Directorate of Civil Defense urged residents in Jazan, Abha and Khamis Mushait to follow safety procedures after an emergency warning was issued through the National Early Warning Platform.

Civil Defense emphasized the importance of remaining calm and following official instructions. Residents were advised to stay inside buildings, move to an interior room or a safe location away from windows, and avoid leaving their homes or buildings until the danger has passed.

The safety guidance also called on residents to stay away from exposed areas and glass, and not to stand on balconies or rooftops. People who are outside buildings were advised to enter the nearest building or seek shelter behind a solid barrier.

Civil Defense also stressed the need to avoid gatherings and filming, while staying away from potentially dangerous locations.

If the warning is received while driving, motorists were advised to pull over in a safe location away from bridges and high-rise buildings.

The Directorate further advised residents to call 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, while 998 is available in other regions of the Kingdom when a danger is observed.

Civil Defense urged everyone to continue monitoring official channels for instructions and updates from the relevant authorities and to follow them carefully.
