The UAE Ministry of Education has officially approved the resit exam schedule for the 2025-2026 academic year, with exams set to begin on Tuesday, July 14, and continue through Friday, July 17, targeting students from Grade 4 to Grade 12 in both public and private schools following the national curriculum.
These exams are designed to provide a final opportunity for students who did not achieve the minimum passing grade in one of the Group A core subjects at the end of the academic year, enabling them to meet promotion requirements and progress to the next grade level.
According to the ministry, resit exams will cover key subjects within Group A, including Arabic, Mathematics, Science, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English, Islamic Education, and Social Studies along with Moral Education, with final scores capped at the minimum passing grade even if a higher mark is achieved in the resit.
The ministry confirmed that exams for Grades 5 through 12 will be conducted electronically while requiring physical attendance at schools, whereas Grade 4 students will sit paper-based exams, with all students required to bring their personal laptops to ensure smooth execution of the digital testing process.
It also clarified that Grade 12 students from private schools will take their resit exams in government schools under coordinated supervision to ensure standardized procedures and fairness across all educational tracks.
The Ministry stressed that these resit exams represent the final chance for eligible students to complete graduation requirements, urging strict adherence to attendance schedules, proper preparation, and compliance with all exam regulations to maintain a fair and organized testing environment.
