This statement came during a high-level meeting of the national team responsible for managing epidemics, chaired by Minister of Health and Prevention Ahmed Al Sayegh, with participation from key authorities and strategic partners, where the latest updates on Hantavirus were reviewed alongside national preventive and response measures.

The meeting highlighted the strong integration between UAE health entities and the coordination mechanisms with international organizations, ensuring rapid response capabilities and strengthening the country’s ability to effectively contain potential health risks.

Officials emphasized the continued adoption of a proactive approach in addressing infectious diseases, reinforcing public health preparedness systems and ensuring that medical facilities and healthcare professionals are fully equipped to respond efficiently to any cases if needed.
