The UAE Ministry of Community Empowerment has launched the “Maqeeth Summer 2026” program, running from July 20 to August 6, as part of its efforts to make the most of the summer holiday by offering educational and interactive experiences that enhance skills and improve quality of life.

Held alongside the Year of the Family, the initiative brings together children, youth, women, People of Determination, and senior citizens through activities designed to promote lifelong learning, community responsibility, and a stronger sense of belonging in line with the “We the UAE 2031” Vision.

Inspired by the UAE's cultural heritage, the name “Maqeeth” reflects the tradition of seasonal gatherings and knowledge sharing. The program reimagines these values through modern, hands-on experiences that encourage learning, collaboration, and personal growth.

The initiative features a variety of practical learning packages tailored to participants' interests, placing experiential learning at the heart of every activity.

Its offerings are organized across six key themes: national identity and social cohesion, leadership and personal skills, financial literacy, health and wellbeing, technology and digital security, and investment and entrepreneurship, giving participants the opportunity to develop new skills through engaging and interactive experiences.
