Dubai Airports has announced the launch of a new service in collaboration with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, designed to enhance the passenger journey through a pre-check system for smart gate eligibility before reaching passport control. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to streamline airport procedures and improve operational efficiency.

The service provides UAE citizens and residents with instant confirmation of their eligibility to use smart gates, significantly reducing waiting times and minimizing reliance on traditional passport control counters. This development marks a major step forward in simplifying arrival and departure processes at Dubai International Airport.

According to Dubai Airports, the service is accessible via the Pocket Flights platform and also through scanning QR codes available across airport terminals and gates. This integrated digital approach ensures a seamless and user-friendly experience from the moment passengers enter the airport.

Officials emphasized that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance passenger satisfaction by leveraging advanced technologies to deliver smarter and faster travel solutions. The service is expected to ease congestion and improve passenger flow across key airport checkpoints.
