Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority teams successfully brought a fire under control after it broke out on Wednesday evening at a waste collection site in Al Wathba, with no injuries reported in the incident.

Abu Dhabi Police announced details of the incident in a post published on its account on X, confirming that the specialised teams had successfully responded to the fire and brought it under control.

Authorities confirmed that the fire resulted in no injuries, while the relevant teams are currently continuing cooling operations at the site following the successful containment of the blaze.

Smoke extraction operations are also continuing at the fire site in Al Wathba as part of the measures being carried out by the specialised teams after the incident was brought under control.

Abu Dhabi Police urged members of the public to obtain information about the incident from official sources as cooling and smoke extraction operations continue at the site.
