UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held high-level talks with India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, focusing on the latest regional developments in a meeting that underscores deep political alignment between the two nations.

The discussions addressed the repercussions of recent Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and several allied countries, highlighting the serious implications for regional security, global trade routes, energy supply chains, and overall economic stability across international markets.

Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s firm solidarity with the UAE, emphasizing full support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its territory, and ensure the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors, reinforcing the strong diplomatic partnership between both countries.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed praised the visit, describing it as a clear reflection of the robust strategic ties between the UAE and India, and a continuation of their expanding cooperation across key sectors amid increasingly complex geopolitical conditions.

Both sides also reviewed developments related to former US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a temporary two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, stressing the urgent need for coordinated international efforts to promote lasting peace, while advancing bilateral relations to serve mutual interests and long-term prosperity.
