The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced on Saturday morning that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed a number of Iranian missiles and drones targeting the Kingdom’s airspace.

In an official statement, the command described the attacks as part of a systematic hostile approach, noting that the strikes were aimed at civilians in Bahrain, constituting a clear violation of international laws and norms.

The Bahrain Defense Force emphasized that all its military units and defense systems are operating at the highest levels of readiness, reaffirming its full capability to protect the nation’s territory and respond effectively to any potential threats with strong determination and advanced combat preparedness.

Authorities urged all citizens and residents to exercise caution and avoid approaching any suspicious or unfamiliar objects that may have resulted from the attacks, stressing the importance of immediately reporting such findings to security officials to ensure public safety.

The statement also confirmed that the Royal Field Engineering Unit is fully prepared to handle and neutralize any hazardous remnants in a safe and professional manner, highlighting that the deliberate targeting of civilians and private property with missiles and drones represents a serious violation of international humanitarian law.
