According to the Anti-Fraud Center at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, fraudsters are deploying sophisticated tactics by creating fake websites and social media accounts that promote travel packages, airline tickets, and hotel bookings at prices far below the market rate, designed specifically to lure victims into making quick payment decisions without verifying the authenticity of these offers.

Authorities explained that scammers often impersonate well-known travel agencies or licensed tourism companies, using professional branding elements such as logos, images, and website layouts to appear legitimate, while directly contacting potential victims عبر messaging apps or phone calls to pressure them into completing bookings quickly by claiming limited availability or time-sensitive discounts.

Many victims only realize they have been scammed after discovering that their bookings do not exist or were never confirmed, as payments are typically transferred to personal accounts or unsecured payment links, resulting in financial losses and disrupted travel plans, which adds to the growing impact of cyber fraud on individuals and families.
