Saudi security authorities have announced the latest results of nationwide joint field campaigns targeting violations of residency, labor and border security regulations, with thousands of offenders arrested during coordinated inspections carried out across the Kingdom.
The campaigns were conducted between September 24 and September 30 in cooperation between security forces and relevant government agencies, as part of the Kingdom’s continuing efforts to enforce residency, employment and border regulations.
Authorities recorded a total of 11,819 arrests during the one-week period, covering several categories of violations identified during inspections and enforcement operations in different regions.
The total included 5,793 people found in violation of residency regulations, 3,307 people who violated border security laws and 2,719 individuals recorded as violating labor regulations.
Saudi authorities also confirmed that 9,992 violators were deported after the required legal and administrative procedures were completed, representing a significant number of cases processed during the same reporting period.
A further 19,893 violators were referred to their respective diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents required before departure procedures could be completed.
Authorities also referred 4,091 individuals to complete travel reservations, forming part of the administrative process required before deportation or departure from the Kingdom can take place.
The continuing enforcement campaign is designed to ensure compliance with Saudi residency, employment and border security rules and to address cases involving people who remain, work or enter the country in violation of applicable regulations.
Saudi authorities repeatedly remind citizens, residents, employers and individuals that they must not transport, employ, shelter or conceal violators, or provide assistance that helps them remain in the country unlawfully.
Enforcement action may also extend beyond the individual violator to anyone found to have facilitated illegal employment, accommodation, transportation or concealment, depending on the circumstances and applicable regulations.
Employers and individuals are therefore advised to verify the legal status of workers, ensure that residency documents and permits remain valid and avoid informal arrangements that could expose both parties to legal consequences.
Saudi security agencies continue to carry out joint inspection campaigns on a regular basis across the Kingdom, with new enforcement figures and official updates released as operations continue.
