KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has confirmed that its flights to several major destinations in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia will remain suspended as the carrier continues to adjust its Middle East schedule due to the current security situation.

According to the airline’s latest official travel advisory, all KLM flights to and from Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam remain paused up to and including Saturday, October 24, 2026, affecting passengers with bookings involving the three destinations during this period.

The suspension covers KLM services involving Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

KLM said it continues to monitor developments across the Middle East and will update its flight schedule whenever operational conditions allow, while confirming that it is currently unable to fully restore its regular schedule in the region.

The airline also said it is currently not flying through Iranian or Iraqi airspace and is avoiding airspace over several areas in the Gulf region, resulting in cancellations or adjustments to flights operating to, from or through affected destinations.

Passengers whose flights have been impacted are being advised to continue checking their latest flight status and booking details, as further schedule changes could be introduced depending on developments in the region.

KLM has provided several options for affected customers, including changing their travel date under the applicable conditions, requesting a travel voucher, or applying for a refund when a flight has been cancelled by the airline.

Customers whose flights are cancelled may request a full refund of their ticket and eligible additional services linked to the cancelled journey, according to the airline’s published rebooking and refund policy.

The continued suspension of flights serving Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam comes as airlines continue to review operational and security conditions across the region, making it particularly important for passengers to verify their flight status before travelling to the airport.

KLM’s official travel alert page was last updated on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 8:55 AM Amsterdam time. The airline said it will continue monitoring the situation and publish further schedule updates when changes become possible.
