Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has announced the results of two security campaigns carried out in Jahra and Farwaniya, with authorities identifying residency and labor violations, wanted individuals and traffic offenses as part of continued field enforcement operations.
In Jahra Governorate, the General Department of Emergency Police conducted a security and traffic campaign aimed at strengthening field presence and identifying individuals and vehicles wanted by the relevant authorities.
The Jahra operation resulted in 103 traffic violations being recorded, while 15 individuals were detained over expired residency permits and another 15 individuals wanted by security authorities were identified during the campaign.
Authorities also detained 12 individuals who were unable to provide identification documents, in addition to nine people who had absconding reports registered against them. The cases were referred to the relevant authorities for the applicable legal procedures.
The operation also resulted in seven wanted vehicles being identified and referred to the competent authorities, in addition to another wanted individual, as security teams continued checks on people and vehicles across the targeted locations.
A separate campaign was conducted by the Farwaniya Governorate Security Directorate at the Friday Market in the Al-Rai area, with several government authorities participating in the inspection operation.
The participating bodies included Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Public Authority for Manpower and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.
The Farwaniya campaign resulted in 25 individuals with registered absconding reports being detained, along with 16 people whose residency permits had expired. Authorities also identified eight labor law violators and three individuals whose visas had expired.
The operation additionally involved two individuals wanted in debt-related cases, two cases related to health fitness requirements, street vendors, an individual wanted for the enforcement of a court judgment, a person registered under a company that no longer exists and another individual wanted in connection with an entry-ban case.
Seven reports were issued by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition and another seven by the Public Authority for Manpower, while Kuwait Municipality issued one report. Authorities also provided 120 humanitarian assistance services during the campaign.
The results highlight the importance for residents to maintain valid residency and visa status and ensure that their employment situation complies with applicable regulations as field inspections and security campaigns continue across different areas of Kuwait.
The Ministry of Interior said security campaigns will continue across the country’s governorates as part of ongoing efforts to maintain security, improve public safety and identify individuals who are wanted or violating applicable laws.
