The UAE National Anti-Narcotics authority announced the successful execution of a high-level joint security operation conducted in coordination with Dubai Police Sharjah Police and the Kingdom of Bahrain lasting one month resulting in the arrest of a 13 member criminal network involved in drug trafficking across the country.

Authorities revealed that the operation followed intensive intelligence work and field surveillance which uncovered a structured network led by an Asian drug trafficker operating from outside the UAE issuing direct instructions to distribute narcotics across multiple locations within the country through coordinated cells.

Officials confirmed that close cooperation with Bahraini security agencies led to the arrest of the gang leader abroad followed by his transfer to the UAE to face legal proceedings highlighting the effectiveness of regional security collaboration in tackling transnational organized crime.

The National Anti-Narcotics authority reported that total seizures included 56623 kilograms of narcotic substances alongside 8159 psychotropic pills and large quantities of electronic cigarettes filled with hashish oil with an estimated total value of around 33 million dirhams demonstrating the scale of the disrupted operation.

Authorities emphasized that this operation is part of a broader national strategy aimed at dismantling drug supply chains by targeting not only local distributors but also key masterminds operating internationally reaffirming the UAE commitment to safeguarding society and maintaining security against organized drug threats.
