The Directorate General of Civil Aviation in Kuwait has announced a new operational update regarding check-in counter closing times at Kuwait International Airport, aiming to enhance efficiency, reduce delays, and streamline passenger processing ahead of scheduled departures.
According to the official statement, the new policy will take effect starting Monday, June 1, requiring passengers traveling to Gulf Cooperation Council countries and other Arab destinations to complete check-in procedures no later than one hour before departure.
For flights heading to all other international destinations, check-in counters will close one and a half hours prior to departure, reflecting the additional time required for processing international travel documentation and procedures.
The authority emphasized that this adjustment is part of a broader strategy to improve passenger experience and optimize airport operations, particularly as travel demand is expected to increase significantly during the upcoming period.
Passengers are strongly advised to arrive at the airport well in advance of their flight times to avoid missing check-in deadlines, as failure to comply with the new schedule may result in denied boarding, with the authority stressing strict adherence to ensure smooth and safe travel operations.
