Under the patronage of Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Kuwait has signed major contracts with global Turkish company Limak to complete the final phases of the new Terminal 2 project at Kuwait International Airport, marking a decisive step toward accelerating one of the country’s most critical strategic developments.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials, including First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, and senior representatives from the Amiri Diwan, alongside key government leaders overseeing the project.

The Terminal 2 development aligns with Kuwait’s long-term vision to modernize infrastructure and elevate essential facilities, positioning the aviation sector for a transformative leap through significantly increased passenger capacity and enhanced service quality based on international standards.

The project is also expected to strengthen cargo operations and logistics capabilities, supporting the expansion of trade, tourism, and investment while reinforcing Kuwait’s role as a regional hub for air transport and logistical connectivity.

Beyond infrastructure, the project delivers wide-ranging economic benefits, including job creation, new development opportunities, support for economic diversification strategies, and increased investment attraction, reinforcing Kuwait’s roadmap toward a more advanced and sustainable future.
