His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, affirmed that supporting innovation and entrepreneurship remains a fundamental pillar of the Kingdom’s development strategy, emphasizing the importance of fostering a dynamic environment that nurtures national talent in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He stated that investing in Bahraini youth reflects strong confidence in their capabilities, highlighting the government’s commitment to creating quality opportunities that enable young people to transform their ideas into promising ventures that contribute to economic growth and national competitiveness.

These remarks were made during a meeting at Riffa Palace with the winning student teams of the “StartUp Bahrain – University of Bahrain” competition, where he praised the high level of innovation demonstrated and congratulated the top three teams, including “Reskio” for first place, “Loop” for second, and “Dora” for third place.

He also commended the role of the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” in empowering entrepreneurs and enhancing national workforce capabilities, noting that such initiatives strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem and provide Young people with the tools needed to launch and scale successful startups.

Furthermore, he highlighted the significance of the StartUp Bahrain initiative as a national platform for innovation, noting that participation in the competition will become a graduation requirement for Business Administration students at the University of Bahrain starting next year, aligning education outcomes with labor market demands and future career readiness.
