Bahrain witnessed a significant surge in humidity levels on Friday evening, with visible condensation forming on cars, shop windows, and residential glass surfaces across multiple areas, reflecting the intensity of the moist and oppressive weather conditions.

Data from Bahrain International Airport station, published via the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration website, showed that relative humidity reached 71% at 9:00 PM, while the actual temperature stood at 36 degrees Celsius, and the heat index, or feels-like temperature, climbed to approximately 53 degrees Celsius.

In its latest morning bulletin, the Meteorological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications forecast the continuation of hot and humid conditions during the early days of the upcoming week, with humidity levels expected to rise further, reaching 90% on Saturday and peaking at 95% on Sunday before stabilizing around 90% on Monday and Tuesday.

The forecast also indicated that maximum temperatures will reach 44 degrees Celsius on Saturday, slightly decrease to 43 degrees on Sunday, and then return to 44 degrees on both Monday and Tuesday, while minimum temperatures are expected to range between 31 and 32 degrees, maintaining warm nighttime conditions.

Meteorologists added that the weather will remain hot and humid with occasional cloud cover, accompanied by variable winds that may shift to northeasterly directions on some days, while sea waves are expected to range between one and three feet, signaling the Continuation of humid and uncomfortable conditions through at least midweek.
