The UAE National Centre of Meteorology issued its official weather forecast on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, warning of potentially unsettled conditions across parts of the country on Wednesday, October 28. The forecast includes the possibility of rainfall associated with convective clouds, occasionally strong winds and blowing dust that may affect visibility in certain locations.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology, skies will generally be fair to partly cloudy, with convective cloud development expected over northern and eastern areas. These clouds may bring rainfall to some locations, although the forecast does not indicate that all seven emirates will experience rain or that rainfall will occur uniformly across affected regions.
Winds are expected to blow from the southeast to northeast at speeds ranging between 10 and 25 kilometres per hour under normal conditions. However, gusts may become fresh to strong around developing clouds, reaching speeds of up to 50 kilometres per hour and potentially raising dust and sand, which could temporarily reduce horizontal visibility.
Humidity levels are also expected to increase overnight on Wednesday and into Thursday morning, October 29, particularly across selected coastal and inland locations. The weather authority indicated that light fog could develop in some areas, making it important for motorists to remain attentive during early morning journeys and periods of changing visibility.
The official forecast places Wednesdayās maximum temperatures at 35 degrees Celsius in Abu Dhabi, 36 degrees in Dubai and Sharjah, 34 degrees in Ajman, and 35 degrees in Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain. Fujairah is expected to reach 33 degrees, while Al Ain may record 37 degrees and Liwa could reach approximately 39 degrees Celsius.
Marine conditions are forecast to remain relatively calm, with slight seas expected in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea. Nevertheless, residents and marine users should continue monitoring official updates, particularly if cloud activity and local wind conditions intensify during the day.
Citizens, expatriate residents and visitors are encouraged to follow the latest announcements from the National Centre of Meteorology, drive cautiously during dusty or foggy conditions and adjust their travel plans where necessary. The forecast represents expected conditions rather than confirmation that severe weather will affect every part of the UAE.
