Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has announced the results of a large-scale security and inspection campaign conducted in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Farwaniya Governorate, in cooperation with the Kuwait Fire Force and Kuwait Municipality as part of ongoing efforts to enforce regulations and strengthen public safety.
According to a ministry statement released on Sunday, October 18, 2026, the operation was supervised by Farwaniya Security Director Brigadier General Faisal Musaed Al-Rabah and Assistant Director General Brigadier General Yousef Fahd Al-Sawlah, with participating authorities carrying out inspections within their respective jurisdictions.
The security operation resulted in the arrest of 47 wanted individuals and 10 people found in violation of residency regulations. Authorities also arrested one person for possessing alcoholic beverages during the inspections.
Traffic officers issued 40 citations for various offences and impounded three abandoned vehicles along with another vehicle involved in a traffic violation. These measures formed part of the wider enforcement operation across the area.
The Kuwait Fire Force recorded 78 violation notices, ordered the administrative closure of 47 establishments and issued 23 closure warnings. The actions were aimed at addressing regulatory breaches and improving compliance with fire and safety requirements.
Kuwait Municipality identified 62 cases involving premises requiring commercial licences, placed notices on 25 vehicles and recorded 18 cases involving non-compliance with permitted space limits. Inspectors also identified 15 cases requiring the removal of improperly stored materials.
Municipal teams additionally removed 10 abandoned vehicles and identified six temporary structures requiring removal, reflecting the broader scope of the campaign beyond criminal and traffic enforcement.
The ministry reported a combined total of 386 arrests, violations and enforcement actions. This figure comprised 58 security arrests, 44 traffic-related actions and violations, and 284 actions recorded by the other participating authorities. The total does not mean that 386 people were arrested.
The operation highlights continuing cooperation among Kuwait’s security and regulatory agencies to address residency violations, apprehend wanted individuals and improve compliance with municipal, traffic and public safety regulations.
