Bahrain’s Ministry of Education has revealed a new step in the development of the country’s education system through a trial of B~SERA, a smart learning platform designed to use artificial intelligence to deliver advanced educational services to students, teachers and parents.

Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma reviewed the platform’s capabilities during the trial, examining digital tools intended to improve teaching methods, support student learning and make educational services and information more accessible.

The platform is designed to help students understand their school subjects through interactive learning experiences, educational explanations and lesson summaries. It is also expected to support independent study by assisting students with revision schedules and personalized learning plans.

One of the planned features is an intelligent assistant capable of generating interactive tests and assessments. Students would receive feedback on their performance, helping them recognize their strengths, identify areas requiring additional attention and improve their academic progress.

Teachers are also expected to benefit from digital tools that assist with lesson preparation, instructional planning and assessment methods. Additional services are intended to strengthen communication between schools, students and parents, supporting more effective monitoring of educational progress.

According to the ministry, preparatory work has included analyzing educational information and integrating relevant data into the new platform. These efforts are intended to support connected educational and administrative services as the system moves toward implementation.

The initiative forms part of Bahrain’s wider efforts to incorporate artificial intelligence into education, with the aim of improving learning experiences, supporting educators and making better use of modern technology across the school system.

However, the ministry’s announcement concerns a trial ahead of the platform’s planned launch. It does not establish a final nationwide rollout date or require all students to register immediately. Further implementation details are expected to be announced through official ministry channels.
