Yemen’s FlyAden has reportedly cancelled several flights scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2026, departing from King Fahd International Airport in Dammam and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, amid exceptional operational disruptions affecting regional air travel.
The reported cancellations followed an attack on King Fahd International Airport on Wednesday evening, October 21, which caused disruptions and prompted some incoming aircraft to divert to alternative airports, according to international news coverage.
Reports citing the airline’s announcement indicated that affected services included flights departing from Dammam and Jeddah, including a service between Dammam and Aden. A complete verified list of flight numbers and departure times was not available in the reviewed reports.
The airline also reported that one female passenger sustained a shrapnel injury following the arrival of one of its flights at Dammam airport. It stated that the remaining passengers and crew members were safe.
The cancellations should not be interpreted as a complete shutdown of either airport. They concern specific airline services, while other flights may continue operating according to their respective schedules and safety arrangements.
Passengers travelling through Dammam or Jeddah are advised to confirm their bookings and flight status directly with their airlines before leaving for the airport, as additional schedule adjustments remain possible.
