Dubai Safari Park reopened on Monday, October 12, for its eighth season, launching a week of children’s activities, live entertainment and wildlife-themed experiences during the school mid-term break.

The park’s Wildest Opening Week runs from October 12 to 18. Its programme is centred on the African Village Plaza Area and includes safari-inspired games, arts and crafts, temporary tattoos and entertainment aimed at families.

Children can visit the Little Explorers’ Base Camp, an adventure area open daily between 10am and 6pm. The camp will offer the Wild Creations Clay Station, where visitors can choose wildlife figures, including lions, monkeys and hippos, then paint them using individual kits with brushes and paints.

At the Wild Ink Temporary Tattoo Station, guests can choose from safari and jungle designs featuring elephants, giraffes, zebras and cheetahs, as well as paw prints and tropical leaves. The programme also includes safari-themed inflatables and oversized lawn games such as Connect 4, Jenga and Tic Tac Toe.

Families can also attend The Wild Welcome, a 25-minute stage show created to mark the beginning of the new season.

Safari tours and animal presentations

Beyond the opening-week events, the park will continue to offer its wider range of wildlife experiences throughout the season. These include drive-through safari tours, animal presentations and opportunities for visitors to see wildlife at closer range.

The Arabian Desert Safari Tour is included with every park admission ticket. Visitors wanting a longer tour can upgrade to the Safari Bundle, which includes the Explorer Safari Tour.

The Explorer Safari Tour gives guests the opportunity to observe animals including lions, giraffes and rhinos in open-range habitats. Premium options are also available through King of Safari, Behind the Scenes, Dine in the Wild and Jungle Capture. These experiences include choices such as private tours, exclusive access and dining near animals.

Daily presentations will include Bird’s Kingdom, Echoes of the Wild and Birds of Prey. The sessions are intended to help visitors learn about animal behaviour and wildlife conservation.

Opening hours

Dubai Safari Park will be open every day from 9am to 6pm during its eighth season. Last entry is at 5pm.

The Wildest Opening Week activities are scheduled to conclude on Sunday, October 18.
