Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan and Türkiye have strongly condemned the ongoing hostile attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, describing the attacks as a dangerous escalation that cannot be justified or accepted under any circumstances.
According to the joint statement, the latest attacks included strikes targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The attacks resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, as well as damage to civilian infrastructure and facilities. The four countries described these incidents as a blatant violation of international law.
The statement stressed that the attacks constitute a serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It also emphasized that the incidents pose a direct threat to the Kingdom’s security, stability and the safety of civilians.
Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan and Türkiye reaffirmed their full solidarity with the Kingdom and expressed support for the legitimate measures and steps it takes to counter the attacks, deter sources of threat and prevent similar incidents from happening again. The statement noted that these measures should remain consistent with the United Nations Charter and international law.
The four countries also held the Houthi militia fully responsible for the attacks and their consequences, warning that the incidents threaten regional and international peace and security. Their statement highlighted the broader security concerns arising from attacks that affect civilian facilities and put civilian lives at risk.
The joint statement called for an immediate and unconditional halt to the attacks. It also underscored the importance of respecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity while protecting civilians, residents and civilian infrastructure from further attacks.
