The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on citizens whose flights have been affected, or who have been unable to reach their destinations because of suspended or delayed services to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, to contact Saudi diplomatic missions in the countries where they are currently located.

The guidance follows disruptions to air traffic amid security developments involving the airport.

The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the Arab Republic of Egypt provides official contact channels that Saudi citizens can use to inquire about consular services and seek appropriate guidance. The embassy is located on Al-Yaman Street in the Dokki district of Giza Governorate. According to its official website, its regular office hours are Sunday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The embassy in Cairo can be reached by telephone at 002020233331100 or 002020233331200. Citizens can also contact the embassy by email at egemb@mofa.gov.sa. The official website additionally lists emergency mobile numbers for Saudi citizens requiring assistance outside regular working hours: 00201120995566 and 00201115111819.

Passengers whose travel plans have been disrupted are advised to check their booking status directly with their airline and follow announcements from the airport and carrier regarding departure times, arrivals and operational changes. Keeping booking confirmations, tickets and notifications of delays or cancellations may also help passengers communicate more efficiently with the relevant authorities.

The guidance highlights the importance of using official communication channels to obtain accurate information about travel arrangements and available consular assistance. Saudi citizens who experience flight changes or cannot reach their intended destinations can contact the Saudi diplomatic mission in the country where they are staying, in line with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ guidance, and request information relevant to their circumstances.
