Emirates has announced the launch of a new comprehensive travel insurance program designed to provide passengers with greater protection, flexibility, and peace of mind throughout their journeys.
The airline says the new offering combines enhanced insurance benefits with direct customer support services, making Emirates the first airline in the world to provide such an integrated travel protection solution.The program includes coverage for medical expenses related to conflict-related incidents, as well as hotel accommodation and assistance services during travel disruptions or delays that may affect passengers’ plans.Under the initiative, Emirates will continue assisting customers in reaching their final destinations even when Emirates-operated flights are unavailable or when itineraries involve other airlines. Travelers can be rebooked on alternative flights without additional charges.The coverage also extends to flight cancellations caused by conflict-related events, providing travelers with added confidence when making travel arrangements.Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said customer feedback highlighted a growing need for more comprehensive travel insurance solutions despite strong demand for travel. He noted that the new product was developed to offer broader protection and greater reassurance for customers.The comprehensive travel insurance package includes compensation for trip cancellations, baggage delays or loss, unlimited medical expense coverage, and emergency medical evacuation services worldwide.In addition, conflict-related medical coverage provides reimbursement of up to $25,000 in medical expenses and allows travelers to extend their trips for up to 30 days without additional fees.The new insurance product is available at a competitive price and can be purchased during the booking process or added later through the airline’s booking management service. It is currently offered in several countries, including the UAE, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, Singapore, and South Africa.
