Three people were killed and 36 injured in attacks on airport facilities in Riyadh and Abha, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
The authority said one person died and eight others were injured in an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the Saudi capital. A separate attack on facilities at Abha airport killed two people and injured 28.
According to the civil aviation authority, one attack took place on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday. It did not specify which airport was targeted on each day.
The dead were identified as two women, from Morocco and Algeria, and a man from Sudan, the authority said. Those injured included people from Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Egypt and Pakistan.
