NASA has announced plans to launch the Dragon cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) on May 12. This launch, part of the CRS-34 mission, aims to deliver essential supplies and equipment for scientific research.

According to NASA, the spacecraft will lift off from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station aboard a SpaceX rocket. The scheduled launch time is precisely 7:16 PM Eastern Time on the specified date.

The Dragon is expected to reach the ISS and dock at approximately 9:50 AM on May 14. The vehicle will carry a payload of 6,500 pounds (about 2,984.3 kilograms), including water, food, supplies for the astronauts, and materials needed for various scientific experiments.

Once docked, the spacecraft will remain attached to the space station until mid-June. It is planned to return to Earth with samples from the experiments conducted by the astronauts onboard.

Currently, NASA relies on SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft for these crucial supply missions to the ISS. Meanwhile, Russia continues its resupply efforts using Progress spacecraft.
