Kevin Sorbo faced criticism after an X post about Democratic supporters and North Korea.
According to AOL, the Hercules star wrote: “Wow. The country has voted to become socialist/communist.” He then added, “Can't you all just move to N. Korea where your utopian world is already set in place?”

The report said the post followed Democrats gaining control of Congress, with Texas, Kansas and Ohio described as states that turned blue. Responses quoted by AOL included users telling Sorbo to leave instead and criticizing what they called MAGA fearmongering.

Posts on election results
AOL reported that Sorbo, 68, had posted repeatedly about Democratic candidate victories on November 3. In one response to a Polymarket post that put Democrats’ chance of taking the Senate at 74%, he wrote, “This looks really bad.”
He also replied to a post comparing vote-counting progress in Florida and Michigan, claiming officials needed “to know how many votes they have to find for Abdul [El-Sayed] to win.”
At the same time, Sorbo celebrated the reported election of Republican Byron Donald in Florida’s governor’s race. He posted: “Byron Donald wins the Florida governor race. Keep Florida Red.” AOL described Donald as Florida’s first Black leader.
Florida move and Hollywood claims
Sorbo moved from California to Florida with his wife, Sam, about seven years ago, according to AOL. He has told Fox News and Entertainment Weekly that his conservative Christian beliefs and support for Donald Trump resulted in him being blacklisted and “canceled” by Hollywood. He also cited California’s taxes, traffic and political atmosphere as reasons for leaving.
AOL noted that Sorbo faced backlash in January 2021 after promoting a conspiracy theory suggesting that people who stormed the US Capitol were left-wing agitators or antifa rather than Trump supporters. His former Hercules co-star Lucy Lawless publicly rebuked him at the time, describing him as an enabler of homegrown terrorism.
The report said Sorbo has since concentrated much of his acting, directing and producing work on independent faith-based and family-oriented Christian films, including Elijah Peel.
