Harry Kane has said he feels at home in Munich as he extends his Bayern contract.
France 24 reported, citing AFP, that the England captain joined Bayern from Tottenham in 2023 and has scored 156 goals in 161 matches in all competitions. The duration of the new agreement was not stated in the report.

“I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich,” Kane said in a club statement. “We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager.”
Kane said his family were happy in Munich and that he was keen to remain at the club. Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said the club were “absolutely delighted” to extend the striker’s deal, describing him as a team player and leader.
Titles and individual milestones
After more than a decade at Tottenham without a team trophy, Kane has won two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup with Bayern. The Champions League has remained out of reach, despite Bayern reaching the semi-finals twice in his three campaigns.
Last month, Kane was named men’s player of the year at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London. He was the first English winner since Michael Owen in 2001 and Bayern’s first recipient since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981, finishing ahead of France captain Kylian Mbappe.
He also became the fastest player in German history to score 100 Bundesliga goals in September, reaching the mark in 98 games. That was 31 games quicker than the previous record held by Dieter Mueller.
Kane scored 61 goals for Bayern and 12 for England last season, a combined 73. According to the AFP report, only Lionel Messi has exceeded that total this century, with 82 goals in 2011-12.
Bayern’s current position
German media had reported that Bayern and Kane had been negotiating an extension since August, with the contract length the principal issue. In an August interview with FourFourTwo, Kane said his interest in returning to the Premier League had diminished as he and his family settled in Munich.
Bayern won the league and cup double last season, before losing 6-5 on aggregate to eventual champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-finals. This season, the club are reported to be the only unbeaten side in Europe’s five leading leagues, level on points with Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga but ahead on goal difference, and 13th in the Champions League league-phase table after four of eight matches.
