Union Coop reported Dh243.3 million in net profit for the nine months ended September 30, 2026.
Total income from operating activities reached Dh1.86 billion in the nine months ended September 30, up 9.4% from Dh1.70 billion in the corresponding period of 2025. Net profit after tax rose 7.3% to Dh243.3 million, compared with Dh226.9 million a year earlier.
Retail sales increased 6.7% to Dh1.48 billion, while e-commerce sales grew 40.6%. The cooperative said it had recorded its 13th consecutive quarter of growth.
Mohamed Al Hashemi, chief executive of Union Coop, said the results reflected increases in income and profitability as well as higher sales through branches and digital channels. He said the company’s priorities included improving operational efficiency, managing resources effectively and maintaining competitive value for customers.
Al Hashemi said the expansion in e-commerce sales showed the growing contribution of digital channels. Union Coop plans to continue investing in those channels and developing branch operations while maintaining financial discipline and focusing on long-term shareholder returns, he added.
Third-quarter earnings increase
For the third quarter, net profit increased 30.7% year on year to Dh69.6 million, from Dh53.3 million. Operating income rose 8.3% to Dh587.6 million, while revenue from the sale of goods increased 6.9% to Dh509.7 million.
For the nine-month period, profit before tax was Dh268.6 million, compared with Dh250.8 million a year earlier. Basic and diluted earnings per share rose to Dh0.14 from Dh0.13.
The figures are based on Union Coop’s unaudited interim condensed financial statements for the period ended September 30, 2026.
