Net interest income rose 7 per cent year on year to Dh309.5 million, with growth in customer assets providing the main support. In the third quarter, net interest income reached Dh101.9 million, up 3 per cent from Dh98.9 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025.

The bank said operating expenses increased by 4 per cent over the nine-month period. It attributed the rise to the growth of the business while maintaining what it described as prudent cost management.

CBI also recorded a net impairment recovery of Dh31.5 million after resolving legacy issues. The lender said the recovery contributed to an improvement in its overall asset quality.

Ali Sultan Rakkad Al Amri, chief executive of CBI, said the figures showed continued progress in the bank's transformation journey.

“Growth in net interest income and a stronger capital position reinforce the Bank’s financial resilience,” Al Amri said. “We remain focused on prudent cost management, asset quality and enhancing the customer experience, while building on this momentum to deliver sustainable growth and long-term value for our customers and shareholders.”

Total assets stood at Dh23 billion at the end of the period, representing annual growth of 10 per cent. CBI said robust lending growth and the expansion of its strategic investment portfolio supported the increase.

Its capital adequacy ratio rose to 16.8 per cent at the end of the third quarter, compared with 16.5 per cent at the end of the first half. The bank said the ratio remained well above regulatory requirements and would support its continued growth.
