The UAE Government is preparing to unveil what has been described as the biggest change yet in the form of government services and the way they are delivered to the public, with full details expected to be announced at a major event in November.

The announcement was made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as the country achieved another major milestone in digital government performance and customer satisfaction.

According to the 2026 Digital Government Citizen Survey issued by Boston Consulting Group, the UAE ranked first globally for customer satisfaction with digital government services, with 89 percent of respondents in the country giving the services a high rating.

The survey covered 48,500 participants across 44 countries and also placed the UAE first worldwide for the use of digital government services, with a usage rate of 53 percent, reflecting the strong adoption of government applications and online service platforms.

The results also showed that 76 percent of respondents in the UAE believe government digital services provide a better experience than digital services offered by the private sector, highlighting the high expectations customers now have for government platforms.

Sheikh Mohammed said the country’s current achievements are only part of a continuing journey and confirmed that the UAE Government will announce in November the biggest change in the form of its services and the way those services are delivered to the public.

While detailed measures have not yet been disclosed, official statements indicate that the next phase will rely more heavily on artificial intelligence, proactive government services and more integrated customer journeys designed to reduce complexity and make services faster and easier to access.

Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad Al Gergawi said the government is entering a new phase of service development led by artificial intelligence applications, with the objective of moving toward services that are smarter, more proactive, faster and better able to anticipate customer needs.

The report also found that 82 percent of respondents in the UAE use artificial intelligence on a weekly basis, providing a strong foundation for the development of a new generation of AI-enabled public services while maintaining responsible safeguards and trust.

The full scope of the upcoming changes has not yet been announced, meaning residents, citizens and visitors will have to wait until the major November event to learn exactly how government transactions and digital services will be redesigned and what the changes will mean for everyday users.
