The United Arab Emirates has announced a new decision granting nationals of six countries the ability to obtain a visa on arrival for 14 or 60 days in a move that highlights the flexibility of its entry and residency system and strengthens its position as a global travel and business hub.
The decision applies to citizens of Indonesia Vietnam Thailand the Philippines Kenya and South Africa holding ordinary passports along with their family members provided they have valid residency in approved countries including the United States European Union countries the United Kingdom Singapore Japan South Korea Australia New Zealand or Canada.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that expanding eligibility for this visa reflects the UAE commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and building strong economic cultural and humanitarian partnerships while giving travelers broader access to explore opportunities within the country.
The Federal Authority for Identity Citizenship Customs and Port Security stated that the new updates are part of a wider strategy to enhance government services expand beneficiary segments and align with global trends in travel tourism and mobility.
Authorities clarified that the 14 day visa can be extended once only while the 60 day visa is issued for a single use without extension and overstaying results in a fine of 50 dirhams per day with issuance fees set at 100 dirhams for the 14 day visa and 250 dirhams for the 60 day visa.
