Dubai has officially initiated the granting of Golden Visas to exceptional teachers and educators across private educational institutions, coinciding with World Teachers' Day on October 5.
This landmark initiative follows directives from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, aimed at recognizing outstanding talent and strengthening the emirate's position as a premier global education hub.
In a related context, the scheme recognizes high-performing professionals across early childhood centers, schools, and higher education institutions who have demonstrated significant contributions to improving learning outcomes.
The move directly advances the Education Strategy 2033 in Dubai, which prioritizes recruiting and retaining inspirational educators who enhance student competitiveness globally while shaping the future of the sector.
From its side, official data revealed that approximately 835 educators registered for the initiative following its launch in October 2024.
Candidates are selected through a comprehensive and transparent evaluation process that considers academic qualifications, innovative achievements, community contributions, and positive feedback from parents and students.
Furthermore, eligibility criteria stipulate that applicants must demonstrate a proven track record in elevating educational quality, improving student performance, and earning widespread recognition within the academic community.
Candidates must also present evidence of impactful achievements that actively drive positive progress in their institutions.
