Shaheen Sahila Basheer Mohammed, a 38-year-old Indian national living in Al Ain, has won $1 million in Dubai Duty Free’s Millennium Millionaire draw after taking part in the promotion for 11 years.

Mohammed, who moved to Al Ain six years ago, works as a senior estimation engineer for a construction company in Mussafah. He is the father of one child.

He said the prize came shortly before his 39th birthday on October 16. “Thank you Dubai Duty Free. Your promotion really gives people an opportunity to make their dreams come true and helps them achieve their goals. I’m turning 39 on October 16, so this is an early birthday gift to me too,” he said.

The Keralite said he intends to buy a house in his city and set aside the rest of the money for his daughter’s education.
