Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expected to record highs of 43°C on Thursday, October 8, as the UAE sees generally fair to partly cloudy weather, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Cloud cover is forecast to develop over eastern parts of the country during the afternoon. Sharjah is expected to reach a maximum of 41°C.

Overnight humidity is expected in some coastal and inland areas, continuing into Friday morning. The NCM said fog or mist may form in those locations.

Winds will be light to moderate, shifting between southeasterly and northeasterly directions. They are forecast at speeds of 10km/h to 20km/h, with gusts potentially reaching 30km/h.

Abu Dhabi is forecast to have a low of 29°C, while Dubai is expected to fall to 30°C and Sharjah to 28°C. Mountainous areas could see minimum temperatures of 21°C.

Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
