Light rain may affect parts of the UAE on Saturday, October 3, while daytime temperatures are expected to climb to 40°C in Abu Dhabi, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM said conditions will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, particularly over eastern and southern areas of the country. The possibility of rainfall is expected alongside these cloudier periods.
Temperatures across Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah
Abu Dhabi is forecast to record a maximum temperature of 40°C. Dubai and Sharjah are expected to reach highs of 39°C.
Overnight and early-morning temperatures will remain warm. Dubai is set to see a low of 30°C, while minimum temperatures in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are expected to be 29°C.
Winds and sea conditions
Winds will range from light to moderate, blowing from southeasterly to northeasterly directions. They may strengthen at intervals, raising dust in exposed areas.
Wind speeds are expected to range between 10 and 20 kmph, with gusts reaching up to 40 kmph.
At sea, conditions in the Arabian Gulf are forecast to be rough at times during the morning before easing to moderate and then slight. The Oman Sea is expected to remain slight.
