Etihad Airways is the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, based in Abu Dhabi with its main hub at Zayed International Airport.
Etihad Airways is an Emirati airline established in July 2003 by an Abu Dhabi royal decree. It began commercial operations in November of the same year and uses Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi as its main hub. The airline operates passenger and cargo services to destinations across the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. The airline is owned by the Abu Dhabi government through ADQ and is headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Its IATA code is EY, its ICAO code is ETD, and its callsign is Etihad. Its fleet includes narrow-body and wide-body aircraft from Airbus and Boeing. After a period of rapid international expansion, the airline later focused on restructuring its operations and improving efficiency. Alongside passenger transport, its activities include cargo operations, maintenance services and associated travel programmes.
