Etihad Airways has issued an important travel notice for passengers travelling on Saturday, October 10, 2026, as operational changes continue to affect selected flights between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.
The airline has confirmed that the situation remains dynamic and that further schedule changes are possible, urging all passengers to check the latest status of their flights on the official Etihad Airways website before heading to the airport.
The advisory comes as flights EY551 from Abu Dhabi to Riyadh and EY552 from Riyadh to Abu Dhabi remain cancelled on Saturday, October 10, following a wider series of cancellations affecting the same route on Friday, October 9.
The two affected services operate between Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Etihad said the cancellations are linked to operational disruption at Riyadh Airport and confirmed that its teams are continuing to assist affected passengers with alternative travel arrangements.
Passengers are being advised not to rely only on the original departure time shown on their booking, as flight status may change at relatively short notice while the operational situation continues to evolve.
The notice does not mean that all Etihad Airways flights have been suspended or that air travel between the UAE and Saudi Arabia has stopped. The current update applies to specific services between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, while other flights continue according to their scheduled operations unless further changes are announced.
Travellers with onward connections are also advised to review their entire itinerary, particularly if a change to the first flight could affect connecting services, hotel reservations or other time-sensitive travel arrangements.
Etihad said it is continuing to support affected guests and stressed that its official flight status page remains the main source for the latest operational information before passengers travel to the airport.
Passengers flying on Saturday, particularly those travelling between Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, should therefore verify their latest flight status before leaving for the airport and continue monitoring any notifications issued by the airline.
