Saudi Arabia is expected to experience continued moderate to heavy thunderstorms on Friday, October 9, 2026, according to the National Center for Meteorology.

The forecast warns of rainfall that may cause flash floods, accompanied by hail and active winds carrying dust and sand across several parts of the Kingdom.

The weather system is expected to affect parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Tabuk, Al-Jawf and the Northern Borders region. Strong winds and blowing dust may significantly reduce horizontal visibility, making conditions more challenging for motorists and residents in affected areas.

Light to moderate rainfall is also forecast for parts of Madinah and Hail. Meanwhile, thunderstorms may develop over the southern parts of the Eastern Province, bringing additional changes to local weather conditions.
